What to Expect

When you first call our office, we’ll discuss what your concerns are and schedule an appointment if we think we can help you. We offer a consultation at no cost to make sure you’re in the right place and that chiropractic will address your needs.

Please be sure you wear comfortable clothing for your visits.

Your First Visit

In order to learn more about your health history and goals, you will fill out some brief new patient paperwork. To save you time on your initial visit, you may go to “New Patient Forms” and download, print, and complete them prior to your visit. Dr. Angelos will then meet with you to discuss your needs and how chiropractic can address them. This initial consultation is complimentary.

Dr. Angelos wants you to feel welcome

Welcome! Make yourself at home!

If it is determined that you are a good candidate for chiropractic care, you’ll have a full examination with Dr. Angelos. This will include, but is not limited to:

  • Range of motion assessment
  • Strength tests
  • Neurological tests
  • Posture assessment
  • Functional/Performance testing
  • Orthopedic tests
  • Sensory and motor examination
  • Reflex testing

The purpose of the doctor’s examination is to discover any injury or misalignment that is causing interference to the healthy functioning of your musculoskeletal and nervous systems, that is, your brain-body connection.

Dr. Angelos may also order imaging (e.g., x-ray, MRI) or other tests to help more precisely diagnosis your condition. If you have images already, please bring them with you to your first visit.

A thorough examination gives the doctor a baseline for future tests or re-evaluation exams to track your progress and to see how well your spine and nervous system are functioning. We will also be able to make sure that there aren’t any other health problems that may need to be addressed by another type of health care specialist; in which case, Dr. Angelos will give you a referral. We’re also able to work with any of your other health care providers so as to be a part of your health care team.

Report of Findings with Christina Angelos, D.C.

Dr. Angelos will share results and recommend a care plan.

Report of Findings

You’ll get a full report of the results of your examination from the doctor along with her recommendations for your care plan, and will discuss with you the financial and insurance options. This may happen on your first or second visit, depending on your circumstances (e.g., if you were sent outside the office to get x-rays).

New Patient Orientation and First Adjustment

Once you choose to begin care, you will receive a new patient orientation, which includes reviewing with you our office policies and procedures, scheduling your appointments, making appropriate payment arrangements, and beginning your chiropractic adjustments.

Your first visit may last approximately 45 minutes to an hour or we may schedule you for two visits, depending on your situation. We will never rush you out the door. If you have questions, we want to answer them and make sure you know exactly what to expect. We will also go over some things you can do at home, such as posture, lifting technique/restrictions, ice therapy, rest, so you can help your body in its healing process.

Regular Visits

After your examination and consultation, your regular visits with us will take about 20 minutes.

Re-evaluation Exams

Periodically, the doctor will perform a re-evaluation exam to evaluate your progress.

You’ll know exactly what to expect with Dr. Angelos’s thorough explanations and gentle care.
